Exploring Luxury Kitchen Aesthetics: From Farmhouse to Glamorous

Last updated: November 29, 2023

What does a luxury kitchen look like?

A question many homeowners and renters ask themselves, their partners, and interior decorators once they realize it’s time to elevate their cooking space.

Nowadays, luxury kitchen designs tend to marry high-quality materials and top-of-the-line appliances to create a space that is sophisticated, inviting, and practical.

Pro Tip: When designing your kitchen, consider the colors, the materials, and what your appliance needs might be; there’s no shame in needing a microwave over an oven (but we have you covered either way).

Here are five trending styles with staying power that will help you conceptualize your dream kitchen space:

Basic Kitchen Aesthetic

Five Trending Luxury Kitchen Aesthetics

  • Farmhouse Charm

  • Contemporary Chic
  • Hollywood Glamour

Farmhouse Charm

First thoughts: Comfortable and warm.

For those looking for a relaxed aesthetic full of vintage charm that feels lived-in and welcoming, here’s the style for you.

To sum it up briefly, a farmhouse kitchen design draws on country living, natural elements, and rustic accents. It's a warm style that takes comfortable classics and elevates them in a new, exciting way. Both vintage and current kitchen components feel equally at home here.

Farmhouse Kitchen Design

Summit Spotlight:  ALFD24WBVPANTRY

Our innovatively designed pantry offers the ideal storage conditions and adds personality to any farmhouse-styled kitchen.

The ALFD24WBVPANTRY features two distinct temperature zones to best store specific food items and beverages:

The left Cold Zone has a temperature range of 36-43°F, ideal for cheeses, meats, and produce requiring cooler temperatures slightly warmer than a standard fridge.

The right Pantry Zone has a temperature range of 41-68°F, perfect for fresh produce in need of slightly warmer temperatures for proper storage. Adjustable glass shelves offer spill-proof storage, and two pull-out wire baskets make storing and transporting certain fruits and vegetables more convenient.

European Elegance

First thoughts: Elevated and bespoke

What’s European elegance? Old-world sophistication meets new-world modernity.

These kitchen spaces are sleek, stylish, and have an unadorned appearance. In these kitchens, you’ll likely find crisp and clean design styles that create a streamlined and clearly defined cooking space.

Far from the farmhouse aesthetic, European elegance relies on flat surfaces, slab doors, flush-mounted appliances, and recessed handle grips with little to no hardware. This design choice creates an uninterrupted, open space filled with light and joy.

European Chic

Monochromatic

First thoughts: Clean and streamlined

A monochromatic kitchen aesthetic is the perfect streamlined backdrop to let other design elements and decor stand out. It’s also a great way to make seasonal statements with different shades and colors throughout the year.

For instance, If you love green but don't want all four walls painted in your favorite shade, going with primarily black or white allows you to have more fun with how you incorporate and disperse color across your kitchen.

On top of that, anyone with a good design bone in their body will tell you monochrome kitchen aesthetics are timeless, so your kitchen space will never look outdated or out of style.
