Popular in Europe, solid disk cooktops retain heat longer than traditional coil or glass top surfaces, making them ideal for keeping the contents in your pots and pans warmer before serving. Even heat distribution helps to improve your cooking results.

120V or 230V Operation

To better meet your small kitchen needs, we offer one two-burner 115V version with a power cord included and three 230V versions with higher wattage elements.

Easy-to-Clean

First, allow the appliance to cool before cleaning. Next, wipe off any soiling using a damp cloth. Stubborn soiling is best removed with a shielded scraper blade.

The solid disk burners can be cleaned with a damp cloth, mild detergent, and warm water. Do not Immerse in Water! Occasionally wiping the surface of the burners with a trace of clean cooking oil will help to maintain their appearance.

Operation Note: Any burner can be turned on by pushing the control knob down and turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise to the desired setting. To adjust the setting, turn the knob without pressing down. The burner is turned off by turning the control knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to "OFF."

Why Solid Disk?

When it comes down to it, choosing a solid disk cooktop is choosing durability! Made of strong cast iron, the solid metal element is perfect at withstanding years of heavy-duty use.

Unlike coil options, solid disk cooktops offer even heat distribution and longer heat retention for a uniquely efficient cooking experience. On top of that, users won’t need to stress over safety since these units were designed to meet the new UL standards and include standard indicator lights.

Why Choose an Electric Cooktop?

Electric stovetop heating elements come in various styles and sizes to match different cookware sizes.

Electric cooktops – whether coil, ceramic glass, or solid disk – use infrared energy to heat pots and pans and cook your food. The heat is concentrated in the coils, so unlike gas cooktops, there is little to no excess heat lost to the area surrounding where you are cooking.

Approximately 75% of the heat generated goes toward cooking, making it much more efficient than gas cooktops (50%) but not as efficient as induction cooktops (90%). Additionally, electric cooktops are safe (a result of indicator lights for each coil), but you still run the risk of burning yourself while they are in use.

Electric cooktops are the most economical of the three, with prices starting around $300. However, the month-to-month cost will be more than gas cooktops and on par with induction cooktops due to its use of electricity as a power source.
