  • How do I clean my beer dispenser?
    Every part of your kegerator, from the walls to the coupler, needs to be cleaned at a regular basis. Not only will this keep your beer tasting fresh, it will also help maintain the equipment and keep the beer flowing at an optimal rate. Select Summit beer dispensers come with their own cleaning kit, which generally includes a nylon faucet brush, a check ball lifter, a special beer line cleaning compound and a kegerator faucet wrench and gasket.
  • How long should I wait before using my Kegerator?
    After turning your kegerator on, you should ideally wait at least 24 hours for the unit to cool properly. You may then adjust the temperature setting based on your preferences.
  • Can I use my beer dispenser outside?
    Only beer dispensers specifically designed for outdoor use (usually with suffix "OS" in their model number) can be used outdoors. Indoor kegerators are designed to operate in room temperature and may have operational parts that can be damaged when exposed to the elements. For SUMMIT outdoor beer dispensers, click here.
  • What is the ideal draft beer temperature?
    Temperature is a key factor in storing and dispensing draught beer. Beer can freeze at 28ºF, and temperatures above 39ºF can cause the CO2 molecule to expand, making your beer foamy, so it is important to select and maintain proper operating temperatures inside the refrigerator cabinet. The optimum temperature for serving most cold beer is between 34-38ºF.
  • Why does the door on my new refrigerator stick when closed?
    Gaskets on new units may need to be worked in before operating at normal suction.
